What is ChessDrills?

ChessDrills reads the games a player has already finished on Chess.com or Lichess and shows which openings score well and which cost points. It is free, and it needs no account.

Our mission

Most players study the openings they already know. We want to make it easy to see where your games are really won and lost, so your review time goes to the lines that matter.

The tools

Insights

Enter any username to get an opening report: results as White and as Black, by time control, with wins, draws and losses for every opening. Scores count a win as 1 and a draw as ½, and openings with a small sample are marked so you do not over-read them.

Prepare

Enter your username and your opponent's to see which openings to play and which to avoid, from both players' finished games. The plan is a link you can share with a coach or a friend.

How it works

• You enter a Chess.com or Lichess username.
• We read that player's last 300 finished games: up to 150 as White and 150 as Black.
• We group them by opening, color and time control and show how you scored.
• You take the openings that score less into your own analysis after you play.
